On 7 June 2024, the Santander Awards for students of the WSG University in Bydgoszcz 2024 were held. This programme aimed to recognise individuals who are actively involved in activities for the University and beyond.
As part of this initiative, we promote and support academic and social development, as well as recognising student involvement and activity. During the ceremony, we presented 10 awards, each worth PLN 2 000. The following issues were taken into account during the selection process of candidates: scientific activity and academic achievements, such as high academic performance, artistic and sporting achievements, or social involvement and commitment to the WSG University. The beneficiaries were four first-year male and female students: Oksana Charkiewicz, Yuliia Fediaieva, Kinga Paradowska, Mateusz Tylicki, and six second- and third-year students: Natalia Bydałek, Sean Rafael Cacalda, Dominik Kalinowski, Sandra Romaniak, Anhelina Tur and Aleksandra Zmierczak.
During the award ceremony, Weronika Sikora from the WSG University, stressed the importance of this programme: ‘...The Santander Prize is proof that we appreciate not only academic achievements but also active participation in the life of the university. We are proud of our students and their versatile talents.’ Development and the future The collaboration of WSG University in Bydgoszcz with Santander Bank Polska is part of a broader initiative to support education and the development of society. The implementation of the Santander Prize programme for students at WSG University in Bydgoszcz is a step towards building a better future, where knowledge, innovation and cooperation play a key role.
