General information

The WSG Career Office has operated within the University structure since 2001. It was established to support young people in making informed career choices and to promote entrepreneurial attitudes. We help students and graduates understand how to navigate the job market and how to remain competitive in a dynamic professional environment.

The WSG Career Office functions both as an employment agency and as a university training unit. All services are provided free of charge. Our support is available to students and graduates of the University of Economy in Bydgoszcz and other higher education institutions, as well as secondary school students and employers.

Our Services Are Primarily Used By:

  • Secondary school graduates, students and alumni seeking career guidance and labour market information,
  • Employers looking for suitable candidates for volunteering, internships, traineeships and employment opportunities.

Our mission is to promote WSG students and alumni and support their professional launch — whether immediate or future.

Polish Career Guides

Secondary school graduates, students and alumni who seek professional advice or labour market information may schedule an individual consultation. We provide both individual and group guidance focused on professional competencies and entrepreneurial development.

Application Documents & Job Interviews Finding the right job offer, preparing strong application documents and performing confidently during interviews are key stages in the recruitment process. A well-prepared CV and cover letter determine whether you advance to the next stage, while your interview performance significantly influences the employer’s final decision.

We invite you to consult your application documents (CV, cover letter) and receive up-to-date labour market insights.

During the Consultation, You Can:

  • Learn effective job search strategies and identify relevant employers,
  • Prepare professional application documents,
  • Define your professional strengths and career predispositions,
  • Prepare for recruitment processes and personal presentation during interviews.

Consultations last approximately one hour. Prior appointment is required. How to Book a Consultation:

  • Send an email to biurokarier@byd.pl with the subject line: “Consultation”.
  • Wait for confirmation of the scheduled date and time.
  • If you cannot attend, please inform us in advance by email or phone.
  • Send your CV before the meeting for review.
  • Prepare questions or topics you would like to discuss.
Polish Career Guides

Cooperation with the WSG Career Office

The WSG Career Office enables external cooperation on behalf of the University within educational initiatives and career-oriented events. Schools and employers can actively contribute to shaping professional competencies of young people while promoting their activities within the academic community.

Possible areas of cooperation:

  • Career guidance workshops for pupils and students — career planning, labour market preparation and soft skills development.
  • Company presentations at the University — showcasing business activity, projects or recruitment offers to students and alumni.
  • Partnership initiatives and educational projects — participation in Career Fairs, “Meet the Employer” sessions and workshop cycles.
