Why Choose WSG Mobility?

Why Choose WSG Mobility?

Choosing your Erasmus destination is about more than just a curriculum; it’s about the soul of the city. Bydgoszcz, known as the "Venice of the North," is a growing metropolis where the Brda River creates a peaceful, idyllic sanctuary right in the center. Between classes, you can chill by the water or hop in a kayak to see the city from a different perspective. The city stays vibrant long after the sunset. It’s a place where diverse student cultures blend perfectly with a vibrant nightlife and local music scene. The nearby center is buzzing with music, student parties, and that unique energy you only find in a true academic hub.

WSG offers a unique "city within a city" feel. Our campus is tucked away in a quiet spot by the river, yet it’s surrounded by over 60 cozy cafes, multicultural bistros, and small spots where you can grab a coffee or a bite. What really sets us apart is the community. At WSG, you’ll study alongside students and professors from Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Mexico, the Philippines, Zimbabwe, and many other nations. It’s a truly diverse, living community where you don't just learn from books, but from the global perspectives of the people around you.

Erasmus is the adventure of a lifetime, and what is life without travel? Bydgoszcz serves as your perfect gateway to Europe. With an international airport located just 20 minutes from the city center, you are always one quick bus ride away from a "city break" in Spain, the UK, Ireland, or Turkey. This incredible accessibility makes arriving at WSG easy and exploring the rest of the continent even easier. Whether you’re planning your arrival or a weekend getaway with your new international friends, having the airport so close is a huge game-changer for anyone who loves to stay on the move.

How to say Bydgoszcz?!

Let's be honest: Polish can look like a keyboard smash at first glance. Pronouncing city's name 'Bydgoszcz' is often called the "Final Boss" of Polish phonetics for newcomers. But don’t worry! While we won’t actually give you any ECTS points for saying it right (though we probably should...), mastering the name will be your golden ticket to winning over the locals.

Think of it as three simple steps: Byd - gosz - cz, just as:

  1. Bid (like a bid at an auction)

  2. gosh (like "oh my gosh!")

  3. tch (like the end of the word "watch")

Put it all together: Bid-gosh-ch! Once you get that crisp "ch" at the end, you’re no longer just a tourist—you’re part of the city.

At WSG, you don’t just learn from books; you learn from people who have shaped history. Professor Munyama’s journey is truly legendary – from his roots in Zambia to becoming a long-standing Member of the Polish Parliament and a Senior Advisor at the European External Action Service in Brussels. As an expert in international economics and finance, he brings a unique, "world-class" perspective to our campus. For an Erasmus student, there is no better mentor to show you how to bridge cultures and build a global career.

He teaches Personal Branding at WSG University in Bydgoszcz. His classes focus on how social media, communication and digital presence shape the way we build careers, connections and opportunities in an international world.

During the course, students explore platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook from a more practical perspective – learning how to present themselves professionally, grow their network and create a personal brand that feels authentic, not artificial.

The classes combine workshops, discussions and real-life online strategies designed especially for young people entering an increasingly global job market. Whether you want to build your confidence online, improve your professional image or simply understand how modern networking works, so as this course gives you tools you can actually use beyond university.
