The University of Economy in Bydgoszcz has become a member of the Global Coalition of Ukrainian Studies (GCUS), an international initiative supporting the development of Ukrainian studies and academic cooperation around the world.
The GCUS brings together more than 70 universities from Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas. Its members include the University of Tampere, the University of Pretoria, Charles University in Prague, the University of Vienna, the University of Tartu and Kobe Gakuin University. The University of Economy in Bydgoszcz is one of the Polish entities participating in the initiative.
The aim of the Coalition is to disseminate reliable knowledge about Ukraine, support research, develop inter-university cooperation and promote Ukrainian culture and history. WSG's membership is a natural extension of our existing activities in cooperation with Ukrainian academic institutions and the implementation of international projects.
During the GCUS meeting on 22 December 2025, representatives of the Coalition presented the most important achievements of the past year and plans for the coming year. WSG presented its activities aimed at promoting knowledge about Ukraine and supporting Ukrainian students and researchers.
