During the festive Gala celebrating the 700th anniversary of the granting of city rights to Solec Kujawski, our university was honoured with a commemorative medal and a personal thank-you from Mayor Adam Michalak.
This distinction was awarded in recognition of WSG's personal involvement in the development of the local community, its openness to the needs of the community and its willingness to cooperate - all of which are an expression of concern for the community of the region.
On behalf of the WSG Chancellor, doc. Filip Sikora, the medal and acknowledgements were received by Associate Professor Grażyna Karłowska-Grenda, Dean of the College of Medical Sciences.
The event, held on 20 June at the Solec Cultural Centre, brought together representatives of authorities, organisations and residents - all those who support the development of the city and the region with their daily work.
We would like to thank them for this award and are happy to be part of this beautiful local history - both today and in the future.
