Students of Bydgoszcz universities were among the laureates of the nationwide scholarship program for high achievements. In this year’s edition, out of 400 awarded distinctions, 12 went to Bydgoszcz.
We are pleased to emphasize that as many as 7 of them were received by students of our University. The remaining ones were granted to the Kazimierz Wielki University (4) and the Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology (1).
In the region, a high number of scholarships was also recorded by the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń (18), which shows the scale of competition and, at the same time, the importance of each distinction earned by students of Bydgoszcz universities.
We are particularly pleased with the results in the category of sports achievements. Nationwide, 36 such scholarships were awarded – among them, a significant group consists of WSG students. Out of 14 submitted applications, as many as 7 received a positive decision. This is the result of the students’ systematic work and the support we strive to provide in developing their passions and sports careers. For comparison, in this category, distinctions were also awarded to representatives of other universities in the region – the Kazimierz Wielki University (1) and the Nicolaus Copernicus University (1).
This year’s results show that the University of Economy actively contributes to shaping Bydgoszcz's position as an important academic center – particularly in the area of sports and student development. We treat this as motivation for further activities and cooperation within initiatives related to the development of “Academic Bydgoszcz”.
