A Kazakh delegation completed the EMBA module in Bydgoszcz. Diplomas presented during the official meeting
On 5 August 2025, an official ceremony was held at Bydgoszcz's Hotel City to mark the end of a week-long international away module of the Executive MBA Sport Management programme, organised by the Higher School of Economy in Bydgoszcz in cooperation with the Academy of Physical Culture and Mass Sports in Astana (APEMS).
During the ceremony, diplomas were awarded confirming the completion of a module entitled “Modern Achievements in Sport Management in the European Union”, specially prepared for a 38-strong delegation of sport, education and administration executives from Kazakhstan.
The module was a key component of the EMBA programme - designed for sports leaders in Kazakhstan - which combines practical education, international exchange of experience and analysis of the latest European trends in sports management, infrastructure and social activation.
The programme was delivered by the WSG team under the guidance of Dr Alexander Skaliy, Director of the Institute of Sport and Physical Culture, and its intensive course included lectures, workshops, study visits, meetings with local authorities and an educational trip to Sweden.
A special moment of the visit was also the signing of a trilateral letter of intent on scientific and innovative cooperation between WSG, the Astana Academy and the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Centrum Naukowo-Technologiczny in Toruń, including research into genetic predispositions in sport, personalised training programmes and the integration of technology in sport. The realisation of this module is another step by WSG in strengthening its position as a professional university providing practical training and pursuing an active policy of international academic cooperation.
