
A meeting of representatives of universities and Grudziądz city authorities was held today at the WSG University to discuss the possibility of expanding academic cooperation and supporting the training of medical personnel in the region.
The event was attended by, among others: Rector of the State Vocational University Dr. Eng. Michał Sójka, Deputy Mayor of Grudziądz Róża Lewandowska, Director of the Department of Security and Crisis Management of the Grudziądz City Hall Rafał Cywiński, as well as representatives of the WSG University - Vice Rector for Education Doc. Dr. Ewelina Gdaniec, Vice Rector for Development and Branch Office Doc. Eng. Agnieszka Walczak-Beszczyńska and Dean of the Branch Office in Torun Dr. Eng. Dariusz Buchaniec.
The main topic of discussion was the strengthening of cooperation between universities in the training of nurses, which is a key element in the development of the health care system in the region. The guests had the opportunity to visit the WSG Medical Simulation Center, where modern methods of training students using advanced simulators and phantoms were presented.
The meeting was at the same time a summary of more than four years of cooperation between the WSG University, the City Hall and local medical institutions, which resulted in the first graduates of the dual degree program in nursing in Grudziądz.
