A strong partnership rooted in Astana. WSG officials attend the opening of the Kazakh National University of Sports.
WSG Chancellor Filip Sikora and Alexander Skaliy, Director of the WSG Institute of Sport and Physical Culture, are representing our University at the official inauguration of the new campus of the Kazakh National University of Sports (KNUS) in Kazakhstan.
This modern complex has been designed as a centre for the development of sport, sports medicine and sports management for the entire Central Asian region.
WSG’s participation in this exceptional event is a natural continuation of our cooperation with our partners in Kazakhstan. Last year, we hosted a 38-strong delegation of representatives from public administration and the sports sector in Bydgoszcz, delivering the Executive #MBA #SportManagement programme ‘Modern Achievements in Sport Management in the European Union’.
A special moment during the delegation’s visit was when Chancellor Filip Sikora planted a tree in the ‘Avenue of Friends’ on the KNUS campus, which we regard as a mark of honour and a sign of trust in the development of lasting cooperation between our institutions.
Further discussions lie ahead regarding the development of joint research, teaching and international projects. We believe that the partnership between Bydgoszcz and Astana will bring benefits to both universities and their communities.
